About the FirmTech Ring Guide

The FirmTech Ring Guide is published by FirmTech, the company that makes the TechRing, Performance Ring and MaxPR.

FirmTech sells doctor-designed erection rings online for men who want firmer, longer-lasting erections without pills or a prescription. This guide exists to help men choose a ring and use it well, and to explain in plain language the data the TechRing measures. It is not independent: every ring it recommends is a FirmTech product.

Who publishes this guide?

FirmTech publishes this guide. It is one of a small number of websites FirmTech publishes; the main one is getfirmtech.com, where you can buy the rings, read FirmTech's own FAQ and contact its team.

What FirmTech does

FirmTech makes three erection rings. Its homepage describes the TechRing as “Smart tech for your manhood”: a $275 ring that supports performance and measures erection firmness, quality and duration, and tracks nighttime erections through an app. The Performance Ring and MaxPR cost $60 each and give the same support without tech. All three are designed with leading urologists and use an anatomical peno-scrotal fit.

FirmTech's founder and CEO is Elliot Justin, MD, FACEP, an emergency physician. Its medical advisory board includes urologists John Mulhall, MD, of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center; Amy Pearlman, MD, of Prime Institute; and James Hotaling, MD, MS, FECSM, of University of Utah Health; and Stanley Lewis, MD, MPH, of UT McGovern Medical School. FirmTech, Inc. is based at 7446 South Cottonwood Road, Bozeman, MT 59718.

Why this guide exists

Men researching erection rings meet a jumble of names, sizes and claims. This guide keeps to plain answers: what a ring does, how to size and wear one, what side effects to watch for, how FirmTech's three rings differ, and what the TechRing's numbers mean. It uses facts from FirmTech's own pages and a small number of published statistics with their sources named.

Common questions

What is an erection ring?

An erection ring is a soft band worn at the base of the penis that slows blood from flowing back out, so an erection stays firmer for longer. FirmTech's rings are doctor designed, made of medical-grade elastomer, and loop around both the base of the penis and behind the testicles for an anatomical peno-scrotal fit.

Which FirmTech ring should I buy?

Choose the TechRing ($275) if you want performance support plus data on every session and every night. Choose the Performance Ring ($60) for simple, comfortable support with nothing to charge. Choose the MaxPR ($60) if you want the tightest fit and most intensity and only need it for up to 90 minutes at a time.

Where can I buy FirmTech rings?

FirmTech rings are sold online at getfirmtech.com, with free discreet shipping on orders over $100. FirmTech also keeps a where-to-buy map of doctors, men's health clinics and retail stores that carry its rings, searchable by name, store or city.

How do I contact FirmTech?

Use FirmTech's contact page at getfirmtech.com/contact, which routes questions by email to the right team, such as orders and returns, product questions, privacy, or clinics and partnerships. FirmTech says order, return and warranty questions get replies in 1 to 2 business days.

Do I need a prescription for an erection ring?

No. FirmTech rings work without pills or a prescription. The only medical step is optional: paying with HSA or FSA funds through Flex involves a short telehealth questionnaire that produces a Letter of Medical Necessity for your plan, at no extra cost.
