How to put on an erection ring
To put on a FirmTech erection ring, open the loop, drop the testicles through it, set the second loop around the base of the penis, and adjust the strap for comfort.
FirmTech designs all three of its rings to go on soft, in a few seconds, with no pills or planning. The same steps apply to the TechRing, Performance Ring and MaxPR; only the TechRing also needs charging and pairing with the FirmTech app before it records anything.

How do I put on an erection ring correctly?
- Open the loop. Unhook the latch, hold the loop open and drop the testicles through it.
- Set both loops. Bring the second loop around the base of the penis, so one loop sits under the testicles and the other at the base.
- Fine-tune the fit. Adjust the hook-and-loop strap until it is snug but not tight.
Put it on before an erection; that is how the rings are designed. If it feels tight, loosen the strap. If it slips, tighten it a little.
Before your first TechRing session
- Charge it with the included USB cable for 2 to 4 hours.
- Download the FirmTech app on iPhone or Android.
- Turn on Bluetooth and follow the prompts to pair your ring.
- Wear it during sex or overnight; data syncs to the app.
During and after use
- Use water-based or silicone-based lubricant only, never natural oils like coconut or CBD.
- Keep to the wear limit: 12 hours for the TechRing and Performance Ring, 90 minutes for the MaxPR.
- To remove, unhook the strap and open the loops.
- Rinse with warm water and mild soap, then dry.
- After a TechRing night, hold the button 3 seconds, place it on the charger and sync in the app.

Common questions
How do I put on a FirmTech ring?
Open the loop, drop the testicles through it, then bring the second loop around the base of the penis so one loop sits under the testicles and the other sits at the base. Fine-tune the strap for comfort. FirmTech says this takes a few seconds and can be done before an erection.
Can I put the ring on before an erection?
Yes. FirmTech rings are designed to go on when you are soft, so you can put one on discreetly ahead of time. It takes a few seconds: open the loop, drop the testicles through it, set the second loop around the base of the penis, then adjust the strap for comfort.
What lube can I use with an erection ring?
Use water-based or silicone-based lubricants only. FirmTech says not to use natural oil lubricants such as coconut oil or CBD oil with any of its rings. FirmTech sells Sliquid Naturals Silver, a silicone lubricant it describes as lasting for hours, from $18 as an accessory.
How do I clean an erection ring?
Rinse it with warm water and mild soap after each use, then dry it. The Performance Ring and MaxPR are water resistant and the TechRing is splashproof. FirmTech suggests replacing the TechRing's sleeve about every 30 nights, and replacement sleeves start at $15.
How long can I wear an erection ring?
It depends on the ring. FirmTech lists the TechRing and Performance Ring as safe to wear for up to 12 hours, and the TechRing is designed for overnight wear. The MaxPR, its tightest ring, is limited to 90 minutes at a time. Remove any ring sooner if it becomes uncomfortable.
How quickly does an erection ring work?
An erection ring works while you wear it, from the first use. FirmTech describes its rings as needing no pills, no prescription and no planning ahead, so there is no waiting period. The flip side is that the effect ends when the ring comes off, because the support is purely mechanical.
